A new web site was launched at an event this weekend to encourage people to donate to projects across the UK working in the night-time economy.
wehelpedu.org.uk is an idea of Christian Nightlife Initiatives Network to encourage people to support the work that takes place week in and week out in towns across the country.
The site highlights a number of different methods that people can invest into the charitable work including giving by text message, donating as you shop on-line and donating unwanted or scrap cars.
The CNI Network supports and resources around 100 projects across the UK and tells the story of the work of these local projects to MP's, Police and Church networks. The group works in partnership with a wide range of agencies so that local needs encountered on the streets can be better met.
The launch comes ahead of a reception at the Houses of Parliament which will bring together over 80 people from across the UK to celebrate the work that is achieved. This day also includes details of a 62 mile walk the founders of Street Angels - Christian Nightlife Initiatives and the National Development Worker are to complete in September. Paul and Jean Blakey and Adam May are walking between Fort William and Inverness along the Caledonian Canal between 17th and 19th September to raise money and awareness as well as pray for our nation and the work that is carried out at night.

<< PRESS RELEASE FROM GIVE A CAR >>
Do you own a banger that’s merely gathering dust in the garage? Then you can do your bit for charity!
Giveacar is a UK based fundraising organisation that specialises in donating unwanted and scrap cars to charitable causes throughout the world, including CNI Network.
They provide a FREE service which is available throughout the UK, and can work with you hand-in-hand in the following ways:
They can arrange the collection of the vehicle;
Depending on its age and condition, they can either send it for environmentally safe disposal and recycling at an Authorised Treatment Facility, or to a salvage auction;
This means that a large portion of the proceeds are donated to a nominated charity of the vehicle owner’s choice!
Since Giveacar was set up in 2010, the organisation has already raised over £350,000 for over 250 charities!
To arrange collection of a car, visit Giveacar.co.uk or call 020 0011 1664, quoting Street Angels - Christian Nightlife Initiatives as your preferred charity or visit the web site.
