Ooops
Pick a venue right for you – if you feel out of place, leave! Most fights start over something minor – someone knock you, spill your drink – apologise! Don’t get involved in breaking up a fight – that’s the job of the door-staff! Someone pestering you – try and ignore them and if that doesn’t work ask the bar or door staff to help you. Look out for your friends – make sure they are safe. |
Ask for Angela
A growing number of towns and cities run the 'Ask for Angela' campaign - a simple idea where if you feel like you are not in a safe situation you simply go to the bar staff and ask for 'Angela' - the bar staff will know you need help getting out of your situation and will help you out discreetly. You can also approach the police or street teams such as Street Angels or Street Pastors who will be able to assist you as well. Pubs and Clubs that are part of this scheme will generally display posters like the one on the left which can be found in bars across Dundee. If you are looking for additional support check out HubOfHope.co.uk for local support by UK postcode |
Download both posters as a PDF file
Please feel free to use images, text and posters on web sites, social media, in publications or to display within pubs, clubs, taxis, community centres, churches, etc - our aim is to get the safenightout.party message to as many people as we can! (right click and save image as on each image) |
