Well done to Steve Brock and Andy Fox who completed a 234 mile cycle ride visiting 15 CNI Network local projects and helping raise funds for the work of CNI Network.
Steve is a trustee of CNI Network and Andy a former Police Inspector who helped set up several of the projects in the Cleveland area and now volunteers for Stockton Town Pastors. They were joined by Paul and Jean Blakey and Hazel Brock in support vehicles. Thankfully the pair had no punctures or incidents along the 234 mile route!
They started in South Shields where the local newspaper was taking photos of the duo along with the South Shields Street Angels:
From South Shields the pair took a photo stop at the iconic Angel of the North structure with someone suggesting on Facebook that it would look great with a high-vis Street Angels jacket on!!!
From the Angel the duo travelled on for lunch in Durham where they along with Paul and Jean met Dee and Howard from Durham Street Lights who shared about the work they do (along with many of the other projects) on our Facebook page. One of the many bridges in Durham was a great place to take a photo with the iconic river, Castle and Cathedral as a backdrop.
The final leg - Ripon to Northallerton to meet some of the Northallerton Street Angels who are celebrating 12 months on the streets next month! 234 miles over 3 days. The team visited 15 local CNI projects and were able to pray for the towns and for the work that our teams carry out. We saw iconic locations and cycled along some of the most challenging roads in England. They have raised (so far) around £800 for CNI Network. Thanks to all who have supported, given, clapped, cheered and encouraged and most of all to Steve and Andy!
